Casio's DT-X10 rugged handheld terminal incorporates a CMOS imager and various wireless options, and is aimed primarily at the transportation market. The device runs Windows CE on an Intel PXA255 processor equipped with 32MB of RAM and 64MB of Flash, and boasts a 3.5-inch QVGA color TFT LCD screen.
 The CMOS imager reads 1D and 2D bar codes and can capture images at VGA resolution (640x480). Image capture can be used, for example, to electronically capture the signature of a package recipient.
The color LCD screen is manufactured with an optical coating that efficiently converts external light into reflecting light, without diffusing and absorbing. According to Casio, this substantially improves outdoor visibility over conventional transmissive LCD screens.
Integrated Bluetooth wireless is standard on all DT-X10 models, and one version also includes built-in 802.11b Wi-Fi. GSM, GPRS, and CDMA cellular communications can be added via PC Card options.
