Xplore Technologies recently announced a new "fully rugged" tablet computer based on Microsoft's Windows XP Tablet edition software platform. According to Xplore, the iX104 is the first Tablet PC to meet MILSTD 810F military environment specs, and is ideally suited for harsh environments with extreme temperatures, drops, shocks, dust, and moisture. Accordingly, the new 4.5 lb. iX104 Tablet PC is being targeted to military, homeland security, law enforcement, emergency health care, warehousing, and transportation applications.
