According to AIS, the IPW07SA20-A2 and IPO5SA20-D1 (right) run Windows CE 6.0 on Samsung S3C6410 processors clocked at 533MHz. These ARM1176-based chips can record or play standard-definition video at 30fps, Samsung says, which means these panel PCs should easily cope with more humble HMI tasks.AIS says the IPW07SA20-A2 has a seven-inch resistive touchscreen that displays 800 x 480 pixels and meets IP65 standards for sealing against liquids and dust. The otherwise-identical IPO5SA20-D1 has a five-inch screen offering 640 x 480 pixels, the company adds.
Both devices team their Samsung processors with 128MB of RAM, 256MB of flash storage, and an SD expansion slot. The rear panels include 10/100 Ethernet ports, two USB 1.1 ports, and dual serial ports (one RS232, one RS232/485), according to AIS.
Also on the rear panels of the IPW07SA20-A2 and IPO5SA20-D1 are 12VDC power inputs. Usefully, though, the devices -- each said to consume 5.85 Watts -- may also be powered via Ethernet, AIS says.
