        ATX MB targets gaming with Windows CE and XP Embedded

        Acrosser is shipping a new ATX motherboard for casino-style gaming devices such as video slot machines, poker, and themed tabletop games. The AR-B1791 supports Windows CE or XP Embedded, and meets all major state gaming commission requirements, according to Acrosser.

        The board is based on a Socket 478 Pentium 4 clocked at up to 3.4 GHz with a 400 to 800 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB). An ATI Radeon M9000 series video chipset supports resolutions up to 1600 x 1200. The ATI IXP 250 I/O hub (South Bridge) delivers 6 channels of 20-bit AC97-compatible audio.
