The GENE-9655 comes standard with a DVI-I connector, but a separate version offers a 15-pin CRT connector instead. Two-channel audio is also said to be supported.
The GENE-9655 is equipped with two gigabit Ethernet ports, says the company. The board also offers support for six USB 2.0 ports, with two of them offered as real-world ports on its coastline.

Headers for three RS-232 ports are provided, as well as one switchable RS-232/422/485 port on the coastline. Other I/O is said to include PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, and an 8-bit programmable Digital I/O interface.
The GENE-9655 offers a SATA II connector and a Type II CompactFlash socket for storage, says the company. Peripheral expansion, meanwhile, is said to be supported with both a Mini-PCI interface and a PCI Mini Card interface that can support 3G modules.
Measuring 5.75 x 4.0 inches (146 x 101.6mm), the board runs on a 12 Volt power supply, and offers typical power consumption with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 clocked to 2.2GHz. Operating temperature is said to range from 32 to 140 deg. F (0 to 60 deg. C).Availability
