The BPC402A is described as being suitable for industrial image processing and visualization, and Aartac makes good on that by citing DirectX 10 compatibility as well as four different video outputs. The device has two HDMI ports said to offer maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a VGA output that goes up to 2048 x 1536, and an 18/24-bit LVDS connector that supports displays up to 1920 x 1200, the company says.

According to Aartac, the BPC402A includes four USB 2.0 ports, one RS232 port, two gigabit Ethernet ports, and audio jacks (line in and line out). Options are said to include four additional USB 2.0 ports, two RS232 ports, a RS232/422/485 port, and PS/2s port. (The image above appears to include two additional Ethernet ports, but this was not explained.)
We're not told what type of mass storage the BPC402A includes, but presumably the PC's enclosure has room for at least one SATA hard disk drive. In fact, another option is said to be six SATA II devices, capable of RAID 0/1/5/10 configurations.
Aartec says the BPC402A includes a PCI Express x16 expansion slot, a PCI Express Mini Card slot, and 8-bit digital I/O. The PC has a watchdog timer and operates in temperatures from 32 to 140 deg. F (0 to 60 deg. C), according to the company.
