Access says it has developed the first VGA-capable browser for Pocket PC 2003 PDAs. According to Access its NetFront v3.1 browser for Toshiba's new e800 Series Pocket PC supports the device's VGA resolution (480 x 640 pixels) "ClearVue" mode, a first for the Pocket PC platform.

Special features offered by NetFront v3.1 for Toshiba's e800 are said to include: multi-window display, which supports the display of up to 5 tabbed windows; smart-fit display, a technology that intelligently adapts web pages designed for the desktop to the width of smaller device screens, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling; support for drag-scrolling with a stylus pen; and other useful functions that enable a powerful web experience.

Access says its NetFront browser is the most widely deployed and actively used browser in the "beyond-PC" market, supporting more OS platforms and devices than any competing browser in the market. NetFront recently surpassed 100 million deployments in a wide range of devices including mobile phones, PDAs, digital televisions, gaming consoles, and telematics systems.
