The EOS-1200 again offers four gigabit Ethernet ports, each capable of supplying power to a camera that can be distant by as far as 328 feet (100m), Adlink says. Available frame rates and resolutions are not specified, but four cameras may be connected simultaneously, the company adds.
According to Adlink, the new PC further supports IEEE-1588. And, now with Intel's QM67 Express chipset, it can employ Intel's "Sandy Bridge" Core i5 and i7 processors clocked at up to 2.5GHz, says the company.

Adlink notes that it's good practice in vision applications to have two forms of data storage -- one for holding the operating system and other software, and the other for holding video, images, and log files. Accordingly, the EOS-1200 has a front-accessible CFast slot, intended for the installation of Windows 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows XP, or Windows XP Embedded, plus two internal bays for 2.5-inch hard disk drives.
The device's front panel, shown below left, features two additional gigabit Ethernet ports for data networking. It also offers a DVI-I output, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and a PS/2 port, says Adlink.

The EOS-1200's rear panel, above right, includes a multi-pin connector serving up four seriak ports (two RS232/422/485) and two RS232 ports. It also includes a microphone input and speaker output and, optionally, a connector for 32 isolated digital I/O lines (16 in and 16 out), the company says.
According to Adlink, the EOS-1200's DVI-I port supports displays with resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. The device is said to be operable from 32 to 131 deg. F (0 to 55 deg. C)
