Embedded software specialist Bsquare has joined the Arrow Consulting Engineering Services (ACES) program, to provide expertise in Windows CE and related technologies to Arrow's OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers. ACES offers access to best-in-class engineering design service teams in North America through a single point of contact, according to Arrow.

Arrow, a major software and hardware distributor to the embedded market, says that Bsquare brings to the ACES portfolio expertise in Windows CE-based software development, turnkey board design, wireless expertise, and signal integrity analysis. Bsquare's line of Intel XScale hardware development platforms, specialized drivers, and Windows training will function as building blocks for OEMs, through the ACES program, according to Arrow.

"Our OEM customers who need to bring their Windows CE-based designs to the market place quickly will be attracted to the option of leveraging Bsquare's industry-leading expertise at any stage in their device development," said David West, vice president of market development at Arrow North American Components.

"Our partnership with Arrow exposes us to a new channel of OEMs who need to build general embedded or wireless devices," added Pawan Gupta, vice president of products and marketing at Bsquare.

Microsoft named Bsquare its "2006 Windows Embedded System Integrator of the Year" during the Mobile & Embedded Developer's Conference (MEDC) in Las Vegas last month.
