Support for Windows CE was
first added to Centennial Discovery in May of this year. However, the company says it has enhanced the program's capabilities to track hardware and software installed on Windows CE-based devices more comprehensively.

They include:
- Windows Vista support, which includes auditing Vista clients, the ability to install the Discovery Server on a Vista-based machine, and templates that let administrators plan and budget OS upgrades.
- Web reports, showing hardware changes, software changes, last contact, deployment status, under-licensed software and security vulnerabilities
- Auditing of IPv6 clients, with correct display of associated information in the program's Windows Control Center
- Selectable client update, which can dramatically reduce network bandwidth consumption
The program is also said to include the "Discovery Portal," which feeds the name, publisher, type, and (where available) licensable status of tens of thousands of applications instantly into the program's control center. This can save managers hundreds of hours worth of "googling" to understand what's on their networks, the company says.
Centennial Software said the program is compatible with "Windows CE-based smartphones and Pocket PCs," but did not identify what specific versions are supported.
AvailabilityAccording to the company, Centennial Discovery 2007 will be available in early September. Pricing was not released, but a free 30-day trial will be available from
the company's website.
