The SPC-1505 has a dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor, the ICH8M chipset, plus the ability to accept 3GB of RAM (1GB soldered-on, 2GB via a SIMM slot). It has a 2.5-inch drive bay for a hard disk or solid state drive, and also includes a Type I/II CompactFlash slot, says Avalue.
Compared to that Arbor P1585 mentioned above, the SPC-1505 has a resistive touchscreen that again delivers 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, this time with a slightly lower 250-nit brightness rating. The display has a 500:1 contrast ratio and a 8ms response time, Avalue adds.
Ports are on the bottom of the machine, as shown in the image earlier in this story. According to Avalue, they include one RS232 port, one gigabit Ethernet port with RJ45 connector, three USB 2.0 ports, and a DC power input.
The SPC-1505 also has two internal Mini PCI Express expansion slots, according to Avalue. The device's 802.11b/g/n wireless networking option is said to be USB-interfaced, however.
