Vibren Technologies has released a new version of its BSP (board support package) development software for ARM processors, which adds support for Windows CE 5.0, among other enhancements. Accelent SchemaBSP 5.0 provides tighter integration with Platform Builder for Windows CE 5.0, along with development tools for building custom OS images, the company says.

Among other new features, Vibren says that version 5.0 adds support for more utilities and test applications and expanded driver support, including new drivers for M-Systems G3 devices (pictured here). It can also automatically create Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) packages for both binary and source BSPs.

The company lists the following key features and benefits for SchemaBSP version 5.0:
        • Reduces development time and cost associated with updating an existing Windows CE 4.2 BSP
        • Supports accelerated development of custom Windows CE 5.0 BSPs
        • Provides production-ready bootloader, OAL, and device drivers that support the Windows CE 5.0 platform
        • Supports multiple operating systems:
          • Windows CE
          • Windows Mobile
          • Windows Mobile Phone Edition and Smartphone
        • Provides code bases for:
          • Intel PXA270, PXA26x, PXA25x
          • Texas Instruments OMAP 1510/5910
          • Samsung 2410
Accelent SchemaBSP version 5.0 can be purchased directly through Vibren or from a member of Intels Extended Sales Force (ESF).
