        BenQ unveils quad-band Pocket PC phone

        BenQ unveiled a new Pocket PC phone at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany this week. The company says its BenQ P50 Smartphone is based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile for Pocket PC Phone Edition software platform, and comes equipped with a quad-band GSM/GPRS/WCDMA radio along with infrared (IrDA), Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless...


        networking technologies. The device also features a full QWERTY keyboard, as seen in the photo below.

        According to BenQ, the P50 can function as a wireless personal digital hub, and can also be used as an IrDA remote control for home entertainment gadgets such as DVD players, TVs, and audio players.
