        Bsquare confirms EMF's findings on Windows Embedded project costs

        In this WindowsForDevices.com guest editorial, Bsquare president and CEO Brian Crowley offers his company's perspective on the recent report from Embedded Market Forecasters (EMF) which concluded that there is a significant cost of development advantage to using Windows Embedded vs. using Embedded Linux.




        Crowley notes that his company has been engaged by hundreds of OEMs on a wide variety of Windows Embedded development projects, and that Bsquare's experience with those projects has been very consistent with the numbers given by the EMF report.

        "But we also understand that customers choose to work with Windows Embedded for other reasons that are not so easily measured by number crunching and cost analysis," Crowley says. A brief review of some of the additional benefits follows.
