According to Intrinsyc, the terminals will monitor the thermal controllers located in chemical plants, refineries, and commercial facilities for leaks, to keep pipes from freezing, maintain elevated process temperatures, and prevent the accumulation of snow and ice on walkways, rooftops, and gutters. The system enables customers to manage their heat and leak detection system, monitor alarms, capture performance data, and configure settings while reducing maintenance costs and improve overall efficiencies for their operations
Intrinsyc's 3.5 x 5.5 in. CerfPod 255SE is based on a 200 or 400 MHz Intel PXA255 XScale processor and is equipped with 32 or 64MB SDRAM and 16 or 64MB Flash memory. The platform also includes CompactFlash and SD/MMC slots, 10/100 Ethernet, USB and serial ports, digital I/O, audio codec, and provides either a 6.4- or 10.4-inch backlit VGA LCD touchscreen display.
