SJJ Embedded Micro Solutions is offering a new one-day training course by Windows Embedded development specialist and author Sean Liming. "Introduction to Windows Embedded for Point of Service / POS for .NET" will be offered in San Diego this September, and again in November.

The course covers the fundamentals and features of WEPOS (Windows Embedded for Point of Service) and POS for .NET. According to Liming, instruction will include WEPOS installation options and creating basic POS for .NET applications and service objects. The course will be divided into five sections:
        • Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS)
        • POS for .NET
        • Service Objects
        • Troubleshooting
        • Managing Service Objects
Liming, managing director of SJJ Embedded Micro Solutions, says there will be several exercises to give students hands-on experience with POS for .NET. The focus is on POS for .NET 1.11, with support for C# and VB.NET developers.

"As a follow-up to the book released last year [story], we are excited about this new addition to our training course offerings," Liming adds. "The course continues our goal to offer embedded developers different learn-by-doing options."

"Students should be familiar with Visual Studio and .NET development," Liming notes.

The class will be offered on Sept. 21 and on Nov. 2. The price for the course is $500 per student. More information can be obtained here.
