The company says its InTouch 10.0 software, simultaneously announced, provides enterprise-wide visualization for a wide range of real-time applications. With more than 200 new features and direct support for Microsoft's .NET technology, InTouch 10.0 is said to provide "the latest intuitive graphical interaction and animation techniques for maximum operator response and comprehension."
The Compact Panel Computers are touted as providing a "new entry price point" for InTouch, because their purchase price includes preloaded InTouch Compact software. Featuring a "chemical-resistant" stainless-steel bezel, they offer fanless cooling and are said to withstand up to 15Gs of shock while operating.

However, they will be available in 7-inch, 10-inch, and 15-inch screen sizes, with resolutions ranging from 640 x 480 to 1024 x 768 pixels.

Wonderware says the 10- and 15-inch panel computers will be upgradeable with a hard drive kit. This will include Windows XP Professional and the full desktop edition of InTouch. Presumably these will also support Windows XP Embedded, the componentized version of XP Pro.
