Syware announced database and forms development software for Microsoft's latest Pocket PC software platform (Windows Mobile 2003). The software provides a full-featured, relational database program that includes full support for GPS devices, complete picture control, multi-device synchronization, and a wide range of numeric, string, and date functions, the company said.

Visual CE is said to offer an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to design, maintain, and run flexible forms and databases, on either handheld devices or desktop computers. Database records can be beamed directly from one handheld device to another, and can also be shared with FileMaker Pro, Lotus Approach, Sybase, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server, Access, and Visual Basic, the company said.

Various versions of Visual CE for Windows Mobile 2003 are available, priced from $79 to $599.
