non-wireless model.
The Axim X30 is powered by Intel's PXA270 processors, which provide excellent multimedia performance and power management features that help extend battery life, according to Dell. The device is available in a choice of two processor speeds -- 312MHz or 624MHz -- with the higher speed version claimed to be the fastest processor speed available for handheld devices. The models with dual-wireless have 64MB/64MB SDRAM/ROM memory, while the non-wireless model has 32MB/32MB.
All three X30 models include a built-in Secure Digital I/O (SDIO) slot, a 3.5-inch transflective TFT color display with 240x320 (QVGA) resolution, a headphone jack, improved audio recorder capability, and a scroll dial.
On the software side, the X30 is based on Microsoft's latest Pocket PC software platform, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, which enables users to switch between portrait and landscape display orientation, along with other features that enable easy viewing of Web site content.
