A recent post on the Windows CE base team blog discusses the importance of a software development kit (SDK), and how to deploy and debug applications on a device emulator. Team member Nachiket Acharya's post supplements earlier articles on automating the creation of an OS design and modifying it programatically.

        Deploying a device application

Information in the post includes how to:
        • Modify an OS design project so it can support managed development
        • Target the device emulator
        • Add an SDK to the existing OS design project (a forthcoming post will provide more detail on this, Acharya notes)
        • Add breakpoints in the application
        • Deploy and run the application on the device emulator
Acharya's complete post, "Developing Applications Using Windows CE SDK," can be found here. The earlier posts by Brent Bishop, "Automating the Creation of an OS Design Project" and "Modifying an OS Design Programmatically" can be found here and here.
