        Development kit runs Windows CE 5.0

        This new development kit from Icop Technology Inc. has all that's required to get Windows CE 5.0 applications up and running quickly, yet costs only $295, according to the company. The eBox-II Windows CE 5.0 JumpStart Kit includes a 120-day evaluation version of Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder, a prebuilt Windows CE 5.0 image, a board...


        support package for Windows CE 5.0 and CE 4.2, and a software development kit for eVisualC++ and VisualBasic.NET 2003.

        The hardware platform is a single-board computer based on a 200 MHz Vortex86 SoC (system on chip) microprocessor and containing 128 MB of DRAM, 32 MB of bootable flash memory, 10/100Base-T Ethernet and IDE, serial, parallel, audio I/O, VGA, USB, mouse, and keyboard interfaces.

        The kit also includes a video tutorial, a "hands-on lab-style user guide," and a debug cable set.
