(Click here for larger image)ICOP says the kits include a "hands-on-lab style" guidebook explaining all the steps necessary to build an Windows CE OS image using Platform Builder. A fully functional 120-day evaluation version of Platform Builder is also included. The SDK supports both native and .NET Compact Framework code development.

The Windows CE 5.0 Reference Learning Kit is based on the eBox-II (shown at right). Features and specifications of the eBox-II include:
- RAM Memory -- 128MB RAM
- Flash storage -- 64MB Flash DiskOnModule emulating an IDE device.
- VGA -- AGP 2.0 compliant, supporting both CRT and LCD with resolutions to 1280x1024
- I/O ports -- Serial, LPT, 3 USB, LAN, Audio (AC97 compliant), PS2 keyboard and mouse

The Windows CE 5.0 Development Kit uses the company's Vortex86-6047 3.5-inch format SBC and includes an 8.4-inch color LCD (800x600 resolution) with touchscreen interface and controller. Specs are nearly the same those of the eBox-II. The 6047 has four serial ports and two USB. An optional CompactFlash socket can be installed on the rear of the board.
