Jungo has released updates to its USB and PCI device driver development toolkits. The new releases of WinDriver USB/PCI Host for host-side drivers and WinDriver USB Device for client-side drivers support Windows CE, Windows, Linux, and Solaris, featuring uniform APIs and seamless driver migration between the different operating systems, according to the company.

WinDriver 7.01 includes enhanced support for the .NET environment, according to Jungo, including managed extensions for C++ DLL and PCI/USB .NET C# DLLs. The Windows CE generated DriverWizard code now includes Platform Builder 5.0 XML project files. Example code has been modified and improved, and includes a sample that supports the Microchip PIC18F4550 USB microcontroller.

Free, full-featured, 30-day evaluation versions of WinDriver USB/PCI Host and WinDriver USB Device are available for download here, according to the company.
