The XCeedPC/Dx series runs Windows XP Embedded and is based on Intel's "Socket 775" CPUs and 945G/ICH7 chipset. It is available in several different configurations, as follows:
- The XCeedPC/D1 has a 3.2GHz Celeron D352 processor
- The XCeedPC/D2 has a 3.4GHz Pentium 4 D651 processor, or a 1.8GHz dual-core Pentium E2160 processor
- The XCeedPC/D3 has a 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo E4300 processor, or a 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo E6400 processor
Processor choices apart, the three XCeedPC/Dx models are effectively identical. They have two DIMM sockets that accept up to 4GB of RAM, and they offer Intel's onboard GMA950 integrated graphics. Graphics can be upgraded using the system's 16-lane PCI Express expansion capabilities.
The well-ventilated metal case holds a 2.5-inch hard drive, offered in capacities from 80GB to 200GB. Alternatively, SSDs sized from 2GB to 32GB are also available from Smart Modular.
The XCeedPC/Dx has two different port configurations and mounting options
(Click to enlarge)All XCeedPC/Dx models, regardless of processor, offer two different port configurations. One configuration comes with six USB 2.0 ports and five RS232 ports (pictured, above left), while the other comes with eight USB 2.0 ports and one RS232 port (above right).
In every case, the systems include PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, a parallel printer port, and gigabit Ethernet. Microphone and line audio inputs, along with stereo line output, are also part of the mix.
The XCeedPC/Dx computers also include standard analog modems, with RJ45 connectors. Finally, a 32-bit, 33MHz PCI expansion slot is also on board.

In addition to supporting Windows XP Embedded and Windows XP Professional, the XceedPC/Dx systems run Linux 2.6.
