Bsquare is partnering with TI to present a series of executive briefings for top management of OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) who are evaluating Windows CE 6 for next-generation mobile and embedded devices. The two-day session will explore challenges customers must address when migrating systems to the new Windows CE kernel, according to Bsquare.

Bsquare says the presentation will cover new Windows CE 6 features such as the new memory model, kernel layout, OAL, and connectivity capabilities. TI's OMAP2420 processor, the first ARM11-based platform to support Windows CE 6, will be highlighted as a high performance platform for creating "richer multimedia and low power applications."

"OEMs will leave this session with a good grasp of the nuances of Windows CE 6.0 and how they can use Windows CE 6.0 and the TI OMAP2420 to create high-performance Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices," said Carey Butler, Vice-President of Services at Bsquare. "[We have] been working on the Windows 6.0 operating system for [our] customers in Microsoft's beta program since early 2005. This class will transfer key knowledge to attendees so they can better plan their next-generation products and migration of current products to Windows CE 6.0."

The first seminar is scheduled for August 10-11 in La Jolla, California. Price for the two-day event is $850 including two lunches and dinner on Thursday.
