FTP server for Windows Mobile gains security, speed

NSC has released the latest version of its FTP server software for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile based devices. According to NSC, ShareIt FTP version 1.6 provides new security features, an enhanced user interface, and faster file transfers for use with handheld and embedded computers.
NSC says the software runs in the background on the Pocket PC device and includes a comprehensive set of monitoring, firewall, recovery, and security features. Common uses include website maintenance, transferring multimedia files and remote data management.
ShareIt FTP version 1.6 supports devices running Microsoft Pocket PC 2000, 2002, or Windows Mobile, and having an ARM or XScale processor and 1MB or more of available storage space. A version of ShareIt is also available for Windows CE.
