(Click here for larger image)The SpacePC 1451 will include a total of eight USB ports -- six USB 2.0 and two USB 1.1 -- along with a Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps) controller. Alternatively, the 1453 will offer both a Gigabit Ethernet controller and a Fast Ethernet controller, along with four USB 1.1 ports. Features common to both boards include a VGA video interface, 2 serial ports, AC97 audio interface, auxiliary power, keyboard and mouse interfaces, and two IDE controllers that support both hard drives and IDE Flash devices.
According to Parvus, both boards are designed for fanless operation, and consume approximately 8 watts of power. Up to 256MB of RAM will be soldered directly onto the boards, which enhances thermal performance and improves shock and vibration resistance in contrast to plug-in memory modules, Parvus says. The modules will be offered in both standard (0 to +50 degrees C) and extended (-40 to +80 degrees C) temperature ranges.
Pricing and AvailabilitySpacePC 1451 and 1453 pricing starts at less than $800 each in quantities of 100+ units. The company says it is accepting orders now for delivery during Q2 2005.
