Standard features include dual 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, dual RS-232/422/485 serial ports, and dual USB 2.0 ports. Additional mass storage is available with a 2.5-inch hard drive. The front panel can accomodate a CD-RW or DVD drive, or alternatively an I/O expansion module.
The unit can be internally expanded by means of up to three PC/104 "kits" that connect to "real-world connectors" using the company's "Porthole" mounting design. Currently available I/O expansion options include RS-232/422/485 serial ports, reed and form C relay outputs, optically isolated inputs, TTL interface to industry standard solid-state relay racks, analog I/O, and wireless communications, according to the company.
"Windows XP Embedded is a perfect operating system choice for Relio systems," Sealevel says. Accordingly, the company offers porting services for migrating existing applications to the Windows XP Embedded platform.
AvailabilityThe Relio R2000 is available from stock, starting at $1,095. The R2000 can be ordered with Windows XP Embedded preloaded. Other supported embedded operating systems include Windows CE and embedded Linux, Sealevel said.
