Think Outside Inc. announced a fold-up portable wireless keyboard for Pocket PCs and Smartphones that folds up for ease in travel, while enabling the functionality of a full-sized keyboard. The company says the Stowaway Infrared Wireless Keyboard works on PDA's and Smartphones from numerous manufacturers using Pocket PC 2002...

and Pocket PC 2003 operating systems.

According to Think Outside, the Stowaway is a full-sized keyboard that offers ANSI-standard sized keys, key spacing, and key travel. When folded, the keyboard is only 3.5 x 5 x 0.9 inches in size, and when open, it expands to 13.75 x 5 x 0.625 inches. Attached to the keyboard is a cradle to hold the handheld in either portrait or landscape mode position. Since the keyboard is not connected to the handheld's hot sync port, it is unable to obtain its power from the handheld, so it is instead powered by a pair of AAA batteries.

The Stowaway currently works with PDAs from Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and Dell, including the HP iPAQ 1900, 2200, 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 4100, 5100, 5400 and 5500 series; the Toshiba e330, e350/355, e740 and e750/755 models; the Dell Axim X5; and the HTC Pocket PC XDA/MDA smartphones.
