Cezeo Software has released a free Windows Mobile version of its password manager software. SecureWord.mobile is one of the "most convenient password keepers," according to the company, and is available for free download from the company's website.

SecureWord.mobile maintains a password-protected database containing secure information such as passwords, credit card numbers, and bank information, according to Cezeo. The database is encrypted using the open Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The database may be easily synchronized, backed up, or moved to a different device. The package supports multiple encrypted databases, each protected by its own password.

The company notes that good security policy requires a unique password for each secure website or application. But in reality, most people use the same easy to guess password for everything. SecureWord.mobile includes a password generator to create unique, "strong" passwords that aren't easily cracked. The user need only remember the one password to the encrypted database.

SecureWord.mobile supports Windows Mobile 2003 and Pocket PC 2003. It is available for free download here.

Cezeo also offers a $19.95 desktop PC version of its SecureWord password manager software, with a 30-day free evaluation download available.

The Vancouver-based company is a developer of communication, instant messaging, networking, and security software tools.
