Aquafairy and NTT DoCoMo are co-developing "micro" fuel cells intended to help keep DoCoMo's FOMA 3G handsets running all day, despite increased use of numerous battery-sucking wireless services.

The companies will showcase a prototype of the "world's smallest" two-watt recharger based on a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) next week.

DoCoMo, Japan's largest cellular carrier, recently announced its first 3G handset running Windows Mobile to be manufactured by HTC of Taiwan.

Find out more about the Aquafairy/DoCoMo chargers by reading the full story at DeviceForge.
