Think Outside has announced what it claims is "the world's first portable Bluetooth keyboard," with support for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile based smartphones and PDAs. The keyboard features a full-sized 4-row QWERTY layout with keys spaced 18 x 18 mm, and a 3 mm travel said to match the tactile behavior of notebook computers.

The Stowaway Bluetooth's patented folding design results in a closed size of 5.5 x 3.9 x 0.5 inches, small enough to easily fit in a pocket or purse, according to the company. The design is featured in the Design Collection at Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The keyboard is said to be compatible with most smartphones, including those from Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Orange, O2, Panasonic, Sendo, Siemens, and Sony Ericsson. It also supports Bluetooth-enabled Pocket PCs from HP, Dell, and others, as well as most desktop and notebook computers equipped with integrated Bluetooth technology.

Think Outside says that the Stowaway Universal Bluetooth keyboards will be available in English, simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish language versions, beginning this month, with a suggested retail price of $150.
