The kit includes a "full" cable set, an AC power supply, and a "comprehensive" development kit DVD containing development tools and user documentation, according to the company. The kit can connect to an analog CRT; it can also be ordered with a color 6.5-inch TFT flat panel display and analog touchscreen option, which includes cables and drivers.
The included RoHS-compliant
SBC-GX533 SBC is configured with 512 MB of DDR RAM and 32 MB of flash, and the 1 GB CompactFlash card that holds the OS has 517 MB available for application code or data. According to Arcom, the supplied Windows XP Embedded image supports "most" of the board's on-board functions. The company backs the kit with a design service that can provide optimized implementations of Windows XP Embedded, and support for customer-specific driver/application requirements, it says.
