Gyroscopic Camera Technology uses movement detected through the digital camera at the rear of the device as a direct analog control input for games. This feature is said to be useful in a wide variety of games, and is currently being integrated into several exclusive titles by Gizmondo Studios.
Augmented Reality also uses the digital camera, but in a "radically different" way. By viewing specially designed graphics and symbols through the camera mode, a "three-dimensional and animated character or object can be introduced to the 'real world' environment with stunning effect," the company says.
Both new technologies are being built into a GPS-enabled adventure game called Agaju, which is being demonstrated "behind closed doors" at E3, according to Gizmondo.
