introduced in Europe back in January. The US version packs the entire North American street atlas, including Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada, along with over a million points interest, into 2 GB of the 2.5 GB hard disk. According to Mio, the remaining 0.5 GB is available to store over four hours of MP3 music files.

Other features of the device include an SD/MMC card slot for up to a gigabyte of additional storage, along with USB and IrDA ports for use in transferring files from other devices. The built-in GPS module is based on a
SiRFStarII chip with
XTrack coupled to an 18mm-square internal patch antenna. Among the included accessories is a mounting bracket for automobiles and bicycles.
