The HTC Touch Pro2, announced internationally in February, has already been put on sale by T-Mobile in Europe, where it's known as the MDA Vario V, and will also be available from T-Mobile U.S. in several weeks. Now, according to specifications that have appeared on a Sprint developer website, plus the picture below that surfaced on UnwiredView.com, Sprint will soon release its own version.

As in other versions, Sprint's TouchPro2 will sport a QWERTY keyboard that slides out at an angle via what HTC calls a "kick tail" mechanism, making the phone resemble a miniature laptop computer. Again, the device has a 3.6-inch screen with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution, plus Windows Mobile 6.1, HTC's TouchFLO 3D user interface, and a customized version of the Opera Mobile 9.5 web browser.
According to HTC, the Touch Pro2 additionally provides a high-quality speakerphone, plus "Straight Talk" technology that "provides a simple way to respond to email via a call, allows organizing conference calls from group e-mail, and makes it easy to turn any location into a conference room." The phone is also said to have a 3.2 megapixel camera that can record still images or video.
Sprint's Touch Pro2 will feature 528MHz Qualcomm MDM7200 processor, backed by an unspecified quantity of RAM -- international versions of the phone have had 288MB -- and 512MB of flash storage. GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi are also on board.
