Pen&Internet LLC and dopod Communication Corp., the manufacturer of China's dopod Pocket PC phone, announced an agreement to bring handwritten messaging to the China mobile handset market. Under the terms of the agreement, riteMail for Pocket PC will be pre-loaded on every dopod unit.

With the tradition of Chinese calligraphy and handwriting, riteMail is a natural application for mobile messaging in China. Users can now wirelessly correspond in their own handwriting, adding a personal touch, flexibility, and ease of use to email, the companies said.

The dopod device was the first Pocket PC based smart handset available in China and is currently sold and marketed in major electronics stores across the country, with wireless connectivity provided through China Mobile, the worlds largest mobile operator, dopod said.
