Using the "3.5-inch" format that actually measures 5.8 x 4.0 inches (147 x 102mm), the SBC comes with a choice of two Intel Atom "Pineview" processors -- the single-core N450 or the dual-core D510. Fanless, heat-sink-only designs are supported when using the N450, says the company.

Equipped with up to 2GB of DDR2 memory via a single SODIMM, the SBC also offers a CompactFlash socket, says Ibase. Dual SATA II interfaces are said to be supplied for more substantial storage, and a Mini-PCI Express (PCIe) slot can be used for wireless LAN or TV-tuner modules, says the company.
The IB891 supports dual displays via an 18-bit, single-channel LVDSinterface and a VGA port, Ibase says. Other interfaces include two gigabit Ethernet ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, four serial ports, and digital I/O. A watchdog timer and a two-Watt amplifier are also said to be supplied.

According to Ibase, the IB891 SBC has been "released." However, at press-time there was no web page dedicated to the board. Operating system support details were not supplied.
More information should eventually appear on the company's SBC page, here.
