        Industrial handheld gets barcode and RFID input

        additional Psion Teklogix products to support the major RFID frequencies (LF, HF, UHF) and tag standards (EPC, ISO, etc.).

        According to the company, the dual-mode 7535 provides the ability to support both existing (barcode) and emerging (RFID) data collection technologies in a single integrated device, thus eliminating cumbersome external RFID scanning devices. Sirit's integrated dual-mode barcode and RFID reader makes the 7535 an ideal device for small package pick and put away applications.

        "Wireless technology in the warehouse is constantly evolving, and Psion Teklogix developed the new 7535 with RFID capabilities to meet the growing demand in the market" noted Peter Morley, senior product manager.

        The 7535, powered by an 400 MHz Intel XScale PXA255 processor running Windows CE .NET, is ergonomically packaged yet rugged enough to withstand high levels of shock and vibration.
