Intel has named TenAsys as its Intel Communications Alliance "Member of the Year" for 2006, at the Affiliate level. TenAsys says it was recognized for its support for Virtualization Technology built into Intel's new multi-core processors.

Earlier this year, Microsoft named TenAsys as its Embedded Partner of the Year in the independent software vendor category, for the third year in a row.

TenAsys is well-known for its INtime real-time extension to Windows XP and XP Embedded that began an Intel product, iRMX. The latest release of INtime, version 3.0, supports Core Duo dual-core processors in a way that dedicates one CPU core to real-time tasks and the other to Windows, resulting in substantially reduced interrupt latency in the real-time domain, according to the company.

The Intel Communications Alliance is described as a community of over 300 communications and embedded system developers "committed to the development of modular standards-based solutions using Intel technologies." Markets served by the group include industrial automation, communications, commercial, medical systems, and test and measurement, according to TenAsys.
