(Click for larger view of the HTC HT-01A)The HTC HT-01A appears to represent the first HTC-branded smartphone offered by DoCoMo. Just over a year ago, however, DoCoMo announced the
HT1100, apparently a rebranded HTC P5500 "Nike" phone using the usual HTC TouchFLO interface.

(Click to enlarge)DoCoMo and HTC also announced an HT-02A model expected to launch late this year or early next. Both models will be able to take advantage of a Widget service launched by Access today, and available from the
DoCoMo mobile site that serves as default homescreen for both devices. Featured widgets provide shopping, music downloads, and uploads to social networking sites, Access said.

Touch Pro. It also resembles the
Fuze launched last month in the U.S. by AT&T.

(Click either for details) The HT-01A has an unspecified processor, and an undisclosed contingent of flash and RAM. It supports both GSM and DoCoMo's 3G network, claimed to offer downstream speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.
The HT-01A has a built-in GPS receiver and supports Google Maps, with "talking" directions. There's also a "One-Seg" digital terrestrial TV receiver. Other touted features include:
- 2.8-inch VGA TFT display
- MicroSD/MicroSDHC expansion
- CCD camera claimed equivalent to a 3.2 megapixel CMOS camera
- 4.1 x 2.0 x 0.8 inches (103 x 52 x 20mm)
- 6.1 ounces (172 grams)
The software bundle includes
Windows Mobile 6.1 with HTC's
TouchFLO user interface enhancements. Other touted software includes IE Mobile and Opera browsers, Outlook Mobile, Office Mobile, Media Player Mobile, Navitime navigation software, HTC Home, and Adobe Reader LE.
