A key component used in the DOD2000/TD800 is a Sigma Designs
EML8620L media processor chip, which implements IP video, DVD, MPEG-4, Windows Media Video (WMV9) decoding, and other functions. Video functions provided by the EML8620L include NTSC TV resolution output (720x480) of MPEG-1/2, DVD-video, or video CD playback, and 8-bit alpha blending of on-screen display and graphics information.
