(Click here for larger image)According to WDI, typical applications for the the SDiD 1210 include pet and livestock animal identification, herd management, asset tagging, oil field logistics and process compliance, vehicle security, and fuel payment systems. It is capable of interrogating most 125 and 134.2 KHz LF RFID tag formats, the company adds, including TI TIRIS, NXP Hitagand, and ISO 11784/11785 half- and full-duplex (HDX, FDX).
According to the company, the entire SDiD line is compatible with devices running PocketPC 2002/2003, Windows Mobile 2003, and Windows Mobile 5 with SDIONow. Additionally, RFID tag information can be wirelessly communicated in real-time to enterprise databases through WiFi, CDMA, GSM, or Bluetooth, according to the company.
Developers can also create custom applications with an available Windows Mobile SDK (software development kit), the company said.
