        PDAsync 3.0

PDAsync 3.0 synchronizes contacts, calendar, tasks, email, and notes, between mobile devices and popular desktop applications. Laplink claims the program is "faster, more flexible, and easier to use than other synchronization solutions," and that it provides more functionality and compatibility than using Microsoft ActiveSync alone.

Laplink says PDAsync makes use of the underlying connection software to provide functionality not otherwise possible, such as email transfers. The product supports devices based on Microsoft's Windows CE, Pocket PC, and SmartPhone software platforms, as well as several other embedded operating systems.

        Laplink Controller

Laplink Controller enables viewing and control of Pocket PC devices through either an ActiveSync or a wired/wireless TCP/IP connection, according to the company. The tool allows users to quickly enter and retrieve mobile device data using a desktop/notebook computer keyboard and mouse.

The package is claimed to be useful as a presentation and training tool. By projecting a Pocket PC onto a desktop/notebook screen (or other large screen), an entire audience can easily see what is being displayed, Laplink says. The program can create video recordings for software training and demonstrations, print the Pocket PC's screen, and synchronize the clipboards of the user's desktop/notebook and handheld for data copying.

Laplink Controller supports a wide-range of skins that allow the desktop display to look like the specific Pocket PC device being accessed. A file explorer is also included for both local and device files. Users can also access their device's full system information; reflecting processor, OS, battery, and memory details.
