Speedway SuperAmerica (SSA), which claims to be one of the largest chains of company-owned and operated convenience stores in the U.S., has selected Windows XP Embedded powered point-of-sale (POS) systems from Radiant Systems for its more than 1,700 stores.

SSA will deploy Radiant's POS system, including the company's latest software and P1550 POS terminals.

The P1500 POS terminal family is based on Windows XP Embedded and incorporates Intel's Centrino technology. It boasts a bright 15-inch color touch-screen flat panel display and a wide range of connectivity and expansion options, according to Radiant. Further details are here.
