Adlink has released an ETX form-factor module based on low power Intel Pentium and Celeron mobile processors, and supported by BSPs for Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded. The ETX-IV266 sports an 8x AGP VGA controller with built-in MPEG-2 decoding, and accomodates 1GB of DDR RAM, according to the company.

The ETX-IV266 supports ULV Mobile Celeron processors at 400 and 650 MHz, and Low Voltage Mobile Pentium III-M processors at 800 and 933 MHz (in an uFCBGA package soldered onboard). A key feature of the module is VIA's CLE266 chipset, which integrates a 128-bit 8x AGP VGA controller with hardware MPEG-2 decoding, support for LVDS-based flat panel displays, and TV-out for PAL/NTSC, according to Adlink.

        I/O ports include:
        • 4 USB 2.0
        • 10/100 Base-T Ethernet
        • EIDE controller supporting both PIO and UDMA modes
        • 2 serial ports
        • Parallel port (SPP/ECP/EPP) shared with FDD
        • PS/2 keyboard and mouse
        • AC '97 audio interface with codec
Adlink says the ETX-IV266 comes with standard support for embedded features such as RS-232 console redirection, watchdog timer, EEPROM-based backup of BIOS settings for battery-less operation, USB boot, and PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) support for network booting.

To assist customers in evaluating the module, Adlink offers an ATX form-factor baseboard (shown at right).
