The AMD Elan SC520 processor runs at 133 MHz with 64 MB of onboard soldered SDRAM standard. A 1 MB onboard programmable flash holds the BIOS plus setup parameters, eliminating the need for battery backed SRAM, according to Eurotech. The BIOS includes support for "virtual peripherals," which enable peripheral devices such as the keyboard, display, and boot device to be redirected to a remote host computer.

Eurotech lists the following key features and specifications for the CPU-1421:

Eurotech says it offers a complete ready-to-use hardware development system that includes the CPU-1421, a VGA module, power supply, cables, and connectors. In addition to Windows CE, the CPU-1421 also supports Linux, QNX, and VxWorks.
