InterVideo has announced that its MPEG player and image editing software will support mobile phones running Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system, running on Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP processors. InterVideo is demonstrating its software in TI's booth at the 3G World Congress and Exhibition in Hong Kong this week.

Mobile Player provides encoding and decoding functions for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 format video clips, along with various audio options (including MP3 music), at better than 24 frames per second, InterVideo says. The software is also claimed to support H.264 playback, which enables the viewing of TV (DVB-H) content.

Mobile Studio is a complete image editing and slide show package for camera phones, according to InterVideo.
