        Macromedia Flash Player 6 released for Pocket PC 2002

        Macromedia announced the immediate availability of their Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC 2002 based devices. According to Macromedia, the software and tools released today will enable developers and publishers to quickly and easily create and deploy rich audio/video content and applications.



        Macromedia's new Flash Player 6 developer kit for Pocket PC 2002 is being made available as a free download. The kit supplies content development, interface design policy, and optimized user interface components and support, and ensures that developers can easily author applications with consistent elements such as radio buttons and check boxes, the company said.

        Macromedia Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC 2002 is available as an ActiveX control, or developers can license the standalone Macromedia Flash Player for $499 (USD) through the Macromedia Online Store.
