According to Microsoft, the MPAC program provides feedback for Microsoft's mobility platform development, and offers support and tools to assist its members in making significant investments and inroads in the mobility space.

In addition to providing opportunities to assist its members in the deployment and marketing of Windows Mobile-based solutions, MPAC also offers its members networking meetings, joint marketing activities with Microsoft and other members, close engagement with key Microsoft sales teams, and the opportunity to participate in early product beta tests. MPAC members include systems integrators, independent software vendors, consolidated solution providers and independent hardware vendors.

Microsoft says MPAC currently has more than 70 partners and has increased its membership 50 percent in the last six months, with 28 new partners joining in January 2004. The 28 new members include Accelent Systems, Action Engine, Adesso Systems, Astraware, Catapult Systems, Cellmania, CNetX, Countermind, Credant Technologies, Dexterra, ePocrates, Jamdat Mobile, JP Mobile, Materna Information & Communications, Mobilitec, Mobile Digital Media, Odyssey Software, Omega One Software, Pixel Software Technologies, Software Architects, SplashData, Superscape Group, Symantec, Tao Group, TomTom, Tolt Technologies.
